Monte de Torquines Casas de Campo, located in Aldeia de Sabóia, Odemira, between the Alentejo and the Algarve, is a century-old property that has been in existence for five generations. The house, built in 1901, was restored by the founder's great-granddaughter and great-great-granddaughter, maintaining the traditional architecture with Roman influences. The house is simple, with thick walls, small windows, a clay roof and chimneys, and the characteristic white colour of the region. The property includes a swimming pool and preserves the natural habitat.
Aimed at rural tourism, Monte offers a peaceful environment, ideal for those seeking relaxation and proximity to nature. It is 10 minutes from Sabóia and 15 minutes from Santa-Clara-a-Velha, close to the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. Visitors can explore trails, beaches and the local cuisine.
Casa de Campo has 2 suites. The suites have a kitchenette, patio-lounge and Wi-Fi access. Guests have free access to communal areas such as a lounge, salon and an outdoor swimming pool. The space is surrounded by 6 hectares of land with hiking trails.
The place is cleaned daily, with bed linen changed twice a week, and meals typical of the region can be requested in advance. Check-in is between 4pm and 7pm and check-out between 8am and 11am.
